Meet LaNae

Councilwoman LaNae Millett is an award winning community champion who has consistently advocated for the protection of neighborhoods, safeguarding taxpayer dollars, and preserving Orem’s family-centered values into the future.

LaNae graduated from BYU with a degree in Business Finance and has lived in Orem for over 35 years. LaNae enjoys using her office to advocate for the needs of Orem citizens. She approaches every decision with a commitment to finding common-sense solutions.

LaNae firmly believes in Family City USA and creating an environment where families can thrive.

Transportation/Traffic - we need new ideas, not just “empty busses going around in circles.” LaNae explains the new Strategy and Innovation department and how it is bringing millions of dollars in grants to Orem. LaNae stopped plans for widening neighborhood streets to five-lanes.
