LaNae Millett Announces Re-Election Bid for Orem City Council
OREM, UT -- LaNae Millett has officially announced her bid for re-election to the Orem City Council, reaffirming her commitment to transparent government, safe neighborhoods, and preserving Orem’s family-focused values.
“I first ran for City Council because residents weren’t being heard,” said Millett. “When high-density development was proposed at 1600 North and State Street—against the will of the surrounding neighborhoods—I stood with residents to stop it. Since being elected, I’ve worked to ensure that Orem’s future is shaped by its citizens, not special interests.”
Millett has championed open and efficient government, strategic planning, protecting neighborhoods, and common-sense growth. She spearheaded efforts to align the goals of residents, city staff, and elected officials to ensure a truly representative government. Her efforts were recognized when she won Best of State Elected Representative 2024–an honor she doesn’t take lightly. “It is a great honor for me, not simply because of my hard work and accomplishments, but because I was nominated for this recognition, without my knowledge, by our Orem City staff. I’m grateful that our city staff appreciates the valuable contributions that I have been able to make.”
“I’ve worked hard to represent Orem families with honesty, accountability, and action,” Millett said. “This election is about continuing this momentum—preserving what makes Orem great while thoughtfully planning for the future. I believe in Family City USA, and I’ll keep fighting for the values and neighborhoods we all love.”
